The Wandong History Group presents the annual History Month event – Down The Line Exhibition.

Join us at the Wandong Public Hall to celebrate our 150th year of rail history with an entertaining photographic exhibition.

$2.00 coin entry.

The exhibition opens at 10.00am and closes at 4.00pm.

Whats Pretty about Sally

The Wandong History Group present guest speaker Grahame Thom who will talk on the history of Pretty Sally our near neighbour and a hill that has a tale to tell.

Join us at the Wandong Public Hall for an entertaining evening complete with supper at a cost of only $5.00 a head.

The evening starts at 7.00pm sharp, supper will follow the talk.

Ever wondered about Pretty Sally

Community Carols
Sunday 17th December
The community Carols will be held at the Wandong Public Hall on the 17th of December. All are welcome to attend. The evening kicks off with a sausage sizzle, kids activities and a visit from Santa. The Carols start around 6.30 and will finish around 8.00pm. The History group and Community Gorup combined raffle will be drawn at the event.

The History group would like to wish everyone a fantastic Christmas, be safe and hope to see everyone again in 2024. Please note that St Michaels will only be open by appointment from now until late January to allow all our hard working volunteers a break.

Remembrance Day
Saturday 11th November 2023
Come and commemorate with us on Remembrance Day, at the Wandong Heathcote Junction Memorial Park, the service starts at 10.45am followed by morning tea. You are welcome to bring flowers or wreaths to lay. All welcome.

History Month 2023

This years history month event will focus on the local internment and prisoner of war camps and some of our locals who ended up as prisoners themselves. the event will be at St Michaels church on the 14- 15 of October open from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

ANZAC Day

The Wandong Heathcote Junction ANZAC Day service will commence at 12.00 on 25th April at the memorial park. The service will be followed by a sausage sizzle, a gold coin donation would be appreciated to help fund the event.

Bunnings Suasage Sizzle

The Wandong History Group and Wandong Heathcote Junction Community Group will be at Bunnings Craigieburn on the 10th of December come along and buy a sausage from us.

Christmas is Coming

Join us to help celebrate Christmas at the Wandong Christmas Carols at the Community Centre LB Davern Reserve on the 18th December. Our mega Christmas raffle will be drawn on the night, get in early to get tickets on the night or at the IGA Sausage sizzles. This will be the last community event for the year for the groups so come along and have some fun.
