Our collection consists of paper based files on the development of the Wandong-Heathcote Junction township, its businesses and people. The primary focus of our collection is on Wandong’s history of sawmilling in the forests of Mt. disappointment and the industrial activities associated with those industries. We have extensive archival material on the families who lived and worked here and the businesses and services they created. In addition we hold a substantial number of photographic images relating to the Australian Seasoned Timber Company, the Comet sawmill those people associated with this industry.
