Our History Group is run by a small band of volunteers interested in preserving Wandong’s unique settlement stories. Although small in number our volunteers have developed a range of skills which enable us to not only collect and archive historical records, but also to develop interesting displays and exhibitions. We would welcome new volunteers who might be interested in helping us with various administrative tasks or just coming along and giving an hour or two of your time. If you are looking for more interesting and exciting work, you might like to help us with organising events, or perhaps you have some specific skills in marketing or in organising events, or have new ideas for staging displays or just willing to help erect our exhibitions.

Like all not-for-profit organisations, the History Group relies on volunteers to assist with tasks such as:

• Administration – filing, collating, database entry, maintaining records; mail outs etc.
• Events and Exhibitions – Assisting with design layouts, collection hanging, set up and pack away activities
• Research and Publishing – help with research activities and recording information; short story writers welcome
• General – just a helping hand is often all that is needed, come and support us in our efforts to preserve our unique history.
